The 2020 Women's European Water Polo Championship will be the 18th edition of the major european water polo tournament for national teams. It will be held at the Danube Arena in Budapest, Hungary, from 12 to 25 January 2020.
The Hungarian Women's team is clearly aiming for victory at the European Championships in Budapest on Sunday, captain Dénes Varga said at the opening press conference at the Danube Arena.
There, Attila Vári, president of the Hungarian Water Polo Association, said everything was going to keep the spectators entertained during the next two weeks at the best continental fight. For the Hungarian women's team, just like men, the Olympic qualification is at stake; four years ago, at the EB in Belgrade, also held in January, the band secured this by winning a gold medal.
